ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are changing the title of the first book in The Rise of Oceania. It is now THE WAR BENEATH by Timothy S. Johnston.
Why? I guess the simple explanation is that I am trying to appeal to a certain demographic. It is a thriller. It’s set underwater. It’s exciting and action-packed. SATURATION POINT made sense for a variety of reasons, but after months of dwelling on the issue, I felt that the title might not appeal to people passing by a store or catching a glimpse of the book cover. THE WAR BENEATH is more engaging. It also holds multiple meanings. In this case, there is a new cold war taking place in the oceans of the world, and in many places is rapidly turning hot. There are submarine naval battles and underwater hand-to-hand combat. At the same time, the protagonist is dealing with inner turmoil and demons from his past. At the start of the book, he’s unsure of his path and has been through so much in the undersea environment already. He’s tortured and conflicted by choices that this Second Cold War has forced him to make.
Despite the meanings, however, it’s simply just a more compelling title that we hope should appeal to the intended audience.

Book 3: FATAL DEPTH
