The Palace Theatre in London, Ontario is Featuring Stories & Songs with Dave Semple this Thursday, 6 November 2025

At The Palace Theatre in London, Ontario on Thursday, 6 November 2025:
You might be aware by now that I have been spending time helping promote this facility in London, Ontario with their shows and events. The Palace used to be called The Park, and it played a very important role in my life when I was a teen. The most iconic and epic films played on a massive, curved theatre screen there in the 1970s and 80s, including The Empire Strikes Back, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Jaws, and so many more. Now the theatre is used for live productions, and it is need of our support. I have been asking my fellow Londoners to see shows there, donate, and help spread word-of-mouth.

This Thursday, 6 November 2025, local artist/musician Dave Semple is presenting a poetry and musical show at the theatre at 7:30 PM. Here is the poster and the description; please consider coming to see Dave and donating to the Palace Theatre by doing so. Plus, you will get to listen to some most excellent music and poetry!
A big thank you to London artist Dave Semple for donating his time and talents to help this magnificent facility in London, Ontario’s “Old East Village” at 710 Dundas St., London, ON, N5W 2Z4. See the event description just below the poster:

“Dave Semple is doing a one-night-only fundraiser for London Community Player on November 6th in Procunier Hall at The Palace Theatre. Why? Well, for several reasons: Dave is a retired Drama/English teacher who supports the arts in all walks of life. London Community Players gave him his first shot at directing and he has directed and acted in several shows for them over the last thirty years. Now, in his retirement, he’s looking to give back in gratitude for all the important opportunities he’s had in life. He has been writing poetry, novels, short stories, and songs for over forty years, so he’s put together an evening of story-telling in all those mediums to celebrate life in these anxious times. London Community Players faces many financial challenges with the unhoused situation around their location; challenges which are out of their hands with no real solutions in sight, so any financial assistance to keep this important arts hub operating is greatly appreciated from the community. Come and join Dave for an intimate evening of entertainment. You won’t regret it.”
