New Trailer Alert: Apple TV’s Cape Fear

Inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 1991 movie version, this series is produced by both Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. Check out the first trailer today here at Life After Gateway:
This is the description at Apple’s YouTube channel:
Inspired by the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.
I have seen the 1991 movie; I remember it being gripping with extraordinary visuals and remarkable performances by Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, and Juliette Lewis. There was also an original film, from 1962, starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum.
The Apple TV description continues:
“Cape Fear” is based on both the novel “The Executioners,” which inspired Gregory Peck’s Universal Pictures feature (1962) of the same name, as well as the acclaimed 1991 remake directed by Scorsese. The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, who produced the 1991 film, alongside Scorsese.
The ten-episode series premieres 5 June 2026 on Apple TV and stars Amy Adams (The Arrival), Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), and Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring). Here’s the trailer; will you be watching this? Let me know in the comments below.
