TSJ Announcement on THE WAR BENEATH, coming November

2 August 2018 Announcement:

I have now officially finished edits on THE WAR BENEATH, and the book is in the hands of ChiZine where it is being prepped for printing. It has been an extraordinary process, and the love and care that is going into this book is difficult to describe. When I first saw the cover, I knew that this was going to be special.  Made by Emblem in Toronto created it, and even produced an animated version for their Instagram account:

The cover portrays the very real danger of living on the ocean floor, and also the perils that I see in the coming future. Global warming and surface flooding will eventually cause catastrophe on the surface. The need for new resources will escalate into conflicts between the world’s superpowers in the oceans — a Second Cold War. That is at the heart of this book. Espionage, intrigue, action, war, inner conflict, and self-doubt are the core themes here. It’s James Bond underwater. It’s THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER meets MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. And it’s about the legacies that our fathers leave for us — the good and the bad — and what we can do to overcome them. It’s about the needs of the human race, and the hostility between nations that inevitably follow.

Ardath Mayhar, author of over sixty books, read the novel in 2010 and wrote:

“This is a tense, gripping science fiction/thriller of which Tom Clancy might well be proud … I read the entire 100,000+ word book in one day and was sorry when it ended. When I say it is gripping, that is the simple truth.”

I can’t wait for you to read it. THE WAR BENEATH is coming to bookstores everywhere in November.
