Just a quick update for you today from Life After Gateway and TSJ’s TechnoThriller Central.
The image is from a recent meeting I participated in regarding the Byron Springbank Veterans Monument, a project in London which is progressing well. Fundraising is going strong, we’re growing near to the “ground breaking” stage and the beginning of construction, and the finished monument is going to be wonderful. The plan is to have it completed by Remembrance Day 2026.

I am arranging Spring and Summer signings to continue promoting A Blanket of Steel, dates which you can see here. I am adding more dates as they come in.
I’m writing every day and will have news on that front for you soon. I am still promoting A Blanket of Steel, a novel I am very, very proud of, especially after it won the 2024 Global Thriller Award Grand Prize, but there is more news to come about future projects.
I’m also working on my blog, Life After Gateway, each day — you’ll be happy to hear that readership has increased by more than a factor of ten in less than a year. More and more people are visiting each day to read about the genres I love, and to see that one special story I’ve picked to highlight that day.
In fact, I have now registered the URL: www.lifeaftergateway.com, so you can use that to visit my blog if you’d prefer.
I also have a few author workshops coming up. I always love speaking to others about the genres I love, and especially with students who appreciate creative writing and the importance of storytelling … it’s very rewarding. If you run a creative writing class and would like me to come speak, please contact me at tsj@timothysjohnston.com. I also run workshops for the students to help inspire them to write creatively, teach them about storytelling, and show them how (and where) to find inspiration.
