The Tanner Sequence is my trilogy of books featuring a military officer investigating murders in claustrophobic, outer space environments. Lieutenant Kyle Tanner works within a dictatorship, giving him authority and power, but as a result, he is often faced with hostility, anger, and outright violence from those around him. This complicates his missions, but as the trilogy progresses, his own feelings about humanity’s rulers grows strained and ragged. Raw. I am very proud of this series, which was inspired by Agatha Christie. Each novel features science as the method of murder and is heavily influenced by historical examples of fascism, totalitarianism, and dictatorships. Carina Press published the first book in 2013, and since then the books in the trilogy have achieved the following accolades:
