Here is a good “primer” on my series of underwater TechnoThrillers.  I wrote this in an article for my blog:

“Over the past six years, I’ve been working almost exclusively on the series, The Rise of Oceania.  It started with The War Beneath, a book I first conceptualized in the early 1990s as a student at the University of Western Ontario.  At the time, I was studying environmental systems, Geography, Geophysics, and Geology.  Most classes seemed to involve discussions of Global Warming and ocean level increase. I wrote the book in 2008 and it attracted a publisher in 2016 …

I sometimes describe The Rise of Oceania as “James Bond underwater.”  It’s a quick and easy way to explain what it’s about.  It’s full of espionage and action, involving spies and missions to steal secrets, all in a unique setting.  It takes place during a Cold War between superpowers.  In this way it is very similar to Bond, especially at the height of the Cold War in the 1970s and 80s.  It takes place in habitats, modules, settlements, cities, domes, submarines, submersibles, SCUBA, and seacars.  In this way, the series of technothrillers is unlike other espionage thrillers.”

It features twin siblings in a battle against the world’s superpowers, fighting to bring peace and harmony to their slice of the ocean realms.  The novels take place 100% underwater.  Each involves a quest to capture or invent new technology to go deeper, faster, and destroy enemies in unique and innovative ways. They are thrilling and emotional page-turners.
