Timothy S. Johnston’s The War Beneath makes the list of finalists for the Killer Nashville 2019 Silver Falchion Award for Thrillers

On Tuesday 16 July, I traveled to Toronto and visited the offices of SiriusXM Canada as a guest of The Todd Shapiro Show, a talk radio show on SiriusXM Canada Channel 167.

On Wednesday, 26 June I read from The War Beneath at the Phog Lounge in Windsor, Ontario, a place with a ton of character. I’d never been there before (it was only my second visit to Windsor) but it was obvious from the onset that it was a fitting and appropriate venue for a reading by SF writers.

Yesterday, Rogers TV in London, Ontario began airing a spot featuring yours truly speaking about THE WAR BENEATH, my motivations, inspirations, and the meaning of the term “technothriller.”

I read this book shortly after its release in 1994. It is a page turner. It brought public attention to the threat of deforestation, and it did so in graphic, horrific detail.
