I started my blog, Life After Gateway, because I wanted to write about the stories in books, films, television, and video games which inspired me during my creative formative years, and also which continue to inspire me. I love my genres. I truly believe a great story has great power to heal. And escapist entertainment, which was so important to me as a child and teenager, is now more important than ever.

Here is a “primer” I wrote about my blog, Life After Gateway, which is dedicated to the genres I love both past, present, and future. It features my writing, my hobbies, and generally my love for Science Fiction, Horror, and Mystery. There is also an explanation there as to why “Gateway” is in the title.

I want to thank you all for joining me here at Life After Gateway. I recently published a post about hitting 100,000 views, and I’m honoured that so many people have come here to read my musings, and also read posts about my novels and articles about more academic subjects, like climate change, global warming, and technologies that will expand ocean resource extraction and open ocean floor colonization to us in the very near future.
